CLOSING A CHAPTER -
MCLAREN VALE

30th October 2015 - 6th February 2016

Being suggested to stay at a working hostel by our hosts, we sold the car, and started working. Vine thinning, bud-knocking, cherry picking in two different orchards, stripping cherries off for liqueur, trimming tomato trees, aiding in the hostel with cleaning and servicing the hostel vans, garden work, stick picking, layering garden tiles, driving vans between hostels, fixing irrigation and spending the last night assisting at a birthday party.
Meeting a family member along the way, watching AC-DC live, sight-seeing in the surrounds, making new friends, beaching it and trying paddle-boarding, experienced a different Xmas and New Year, snorkelled the beautiful coral at Port Noarlunga Jetty, and having a farewell party thrown out for us on the last day before departing on our next adventure to New Zealand!

Diary

          Day263
Coffee and a great morning chatting with our hosts in the garden enjoying the sun, we then got a tour around Noarlunga, along the Esplanade and onto Mclaren Wine Tasting Tintara. Tasting 6 different types of red wine (and favouring Reynella Shiraz), we then stopped at a working hostel to find a place to stay and hopefully find a job. Looking very clean and promising, we then got driven back to the house, and spent all afternoon sending out CVs and looking for jobs, and eating tuna with tomato paste, onions and sardines on bread (Hobż biż-żejt) After an unfortunate event, (a bird flew in the door and charged at the glass thinking it was an open door and broke it's neck), we spent the evening relaxed, ate some čevapčiči, sausages and chips on a bbq, and drinking West End beer and talking, then hit to the caravan to sleep.
          DAY264 (temp unavailable)
          DAY265 (temp unavailable)

          Day266
Fixing the cooler cigarette lighter, and sorting out all our stuff out, at 11:00 we said our thanks and goodbyes, and departed to McLaren Vale. Checking in ($168 per person per week), we placed some important stuff into lockers and set our eyes on a bunk bed from the 5 in the room. Surprisingly finding Kohei at the hostel, the Japanese friend we met at Rockhampton YHA Hostel, and spent some good time chatting and catching up.
Visiting Coles, just a few metres up from the hostel, we bought some food for the night and for tomorrow, and cooked some Penne with Three Cheese and Chicken.
Getting late, 12degrees, we visited Coles Express for a $2 slushie, crisps and pepsi, then spent the night talking with Kohei and another Japanese guy Riyo in the common kitchen before at 11pm we headed to bed.
          Day267
Jelly still not good to eat for bfast, we chilled at the hostel, and was awaiting news to see if we have some work lined up for us or not. Saying farewell to Kohei, we departed at noon to Henley Beach, arriving an hour later (45km drive) due to traffic. Having another look at the car and test driving it, we drove to a mechanic for a final check, walked along the Esplanade, and after picking up some minor issues, we both agreed to discuss a price first, then text later. Arriving around 16:40, we started cooking chicken soup with vegetables and pumpkin, and heard the terrific yet sad news that the car had new owners.
18:00 After eating, we started moving majority of the stuff out of the car just before it started raining, then spent the evening chilling in the common kitchen room, looking for more work and eating the strawberry jelly.
          Day268
Waking up and having bfast Weet-bix, we continued tidying up the car, folded the mattress and set the back seats upright. Looking like its going to rain, we finished by 10:00, quickly visited Coles to buy food for tonight, and after making some arrangements with Perry at reception for potential work, we set off. Stopping by SCA to buy new battery terminals and fuelling up the last $20, we met the Swiss couple at the Wright Hostel, arranged a few things, picked them up and then drove back to our hostel. Papers signed, cash provided and all set. After showing them how everything works, at 15:46 we waved goodbye to our home for the past 5months. A very saddening and lost feeling, we walked back to the hostel, cooked some delicious soup once more and had a confirmed job for a couple of days to follow.
17:35 After organising our stuff, we walked back to Coles to buy some food for tomorrow, prepared lunch, then at 21:00 watched Unfinished Business on the laptop before we headed to bed for a good nights rest hopefully amongst one very noisy and unconsiderate roommate.
          Day269
06:45 Alarm set off. Waking up early, we made some bfast (bread with eggs and bbq sauce), then at 08:20 got into the Toyota van hired from the hostel ($5 per person per day), and set on a 40km drive to Finniss. Fog and drizzle and feeding the car some fuel, we arrived exactly to our first day of the first job at 09:30. Meeting Nigel, the lovely land owner of the 38acres of vineyard (Cabarnet and Shiraz), he quickly tutored us on how to use the pruner (weed snipping tool) and before we knew we quickly got the hang of it. Having a smoko (5min break) around 11.30, we snipped off the low unwanted vines till row 56, then had bread for lunch at 14:00.
Drizzling again, and after having a chat with the friendly owner, at 17:30 we had finished till row 100. Having each muscle aching, we drove 58kms to Reynella for some Hahn Super Dry, then after a quick stop to Coles at Mclaren Vale, we started cooking Penne in Three Cheese Sauce with Luncheon Meat, a few beers and knocked out early for another busy day!
          Day270
Earlier morning (06:30), we made egg toast bfast, then departed at 08:00. Fuelling up $10, we arrived at the farm at 08:45 and started what seemed the never ending long 100 vines. Having a smoko (15minute break to eat an orange) at noon and arrived just on the 20th vine, the sun came out and continued in the 17degrees.
Receiving a call for a cattle station we applied for yesterday, we accepted the terms with the recruitment agency and advised to put our names forward. Lunch at 3, and 46th vine still, we had bread on the 30min break, and tried to speed up after that.
17:30 Tired legs and bruised palms from all the clasping, and still a long way to go, we decided to finish on the 72nd vine, and 50minutes later we departed. Stopping by Coles, we cooked Fusilli with Chicken and Red Sauce around 20:00, drinking beer, prepared tomorrow's lunch and knocked ourselves to sleep by 21:40.
          Day271
Bfast at 07:15, and out to continue thinning the vines! Started at 08:45, we were walking faster today, but still so much more to go. Finishung the last one from the 300m each of the 107 at 13:00, we had our lunch break, and continued the remaining 40 and last 20. Singing praise at 17:20, we got our pay, got 4 bottles of Finniss Hill 2003 Shiraz bottles, very good remarks from Nigel the boss, and started making our way. That's 26,000 vines in 3 days! Forgetting the clippers and driving back to post them for him, we arrived at 18:15 at Coles and found it closed! They close at 5pm on weekends here.
Cooking Spaghetti with Luncheon Meat and Bolognese Sauce, we spent the remaining time drinking beer and chilling on the communal sofa, trying to kill a big roach which landed on the pillow, and finally get some rest at 23:30.
          Day272
Waking up to the blissful thought of not working, we spent the morning relaxed, went out to shop at Coles and visit the surrounding ones, watch Kung Fury and later Tenacious D in the communal living room on a huge TV screen. Being asked to go to the beach with a few people, we headed to Wilunga Beach with Will and his gfriend, Stuart and George, all British.
A nice lovely and hot 32degrees, we spent a while chatting and drinking beer on the beautiful bay, and three hours later at 17:00 drove back to the hostel.
Butter chicken and rice, delicious. The remaining time was spent relaxing on the sofa, buying from the close Coles Express ($1.50 Slush) and getting ready for work tomorrow.
          Day273
Waking up at 07:45, made egg toast, and drove the van to The Range for a new day job. Meeting Brad, he explained what we had to do, which had nothing to do with checking the irrigation. It was vine thinning! Telling us there was only 4,000 vines to trim, we started off using no tools to pull out the vines.
Having a smoko after the eighth vine row, and at 12:30 lunch, before we knew it by 16:30 we had done the full job (after providing us with cutters and gatorade at lunch). Paying us for the day's work, we drove off to Coles at Mclaren Vale, bought some food and cooked Butter Chicken with Rice. Making new friends with a British couple Beth and Charlie staying in the same dorm with us, we later sat down and watched a movie called Rec, then headed off to sleep. Woken up by Hannah at 22:30, we had received a message from Tony, the guy we were meant to start cherry picking with tomorrow, and had just cancelled as he was not sure of certain things how they worked. We can sleep in!
         Day274
Preparing and sorting some stuff out, we drove to NAB to deposit the car money into the account, and after unsuccessfully trying to obtain a Visa, we visited Werner and Kat for a surprise. Being told Kat was at work, we stayed for a chat, drove to Reynella Coles and Liquorland for food and beer. Watching Troy at the hostel, we cooked Chicken Liver with Linguine.
Around 18:00 and not so much to do, we drove with Perry to the Centre to collect the hostel van which stopped working. Arriving and finding nothing majorly wrong with it, we tried to drive it back to the hostel, like the car was going to break down soon. Stopping at the WestEnd Pub right next to the hostel for a couple of beers as an appreciation for helping returning the van back, we then chilled at the hostel and a late night sleep.
          Day275
First day of work. And Leon's 28th bday. Making egg toast at 05:30, we departed, along with our new colleagues and roomates Beth and Charlie with the hostel van at 06:20 and drove to Mount Compass. Meeting Tony and his wife Anna, along with their helper and friend Klaus, we were advised what to do and all together started cherry picking. Having a coffee break at 10:30, before we knew it we had an hour lunch break at 12:30, and continued picking till 16:00. Liking the work conditions, people and work, we agreed to try out for a few days, and hopefully stay till mid January till when Cherry Season ends.
Driving to Coles, we cooked Spaghetti in Liver, then chilled on the sofa watching TV till it was time for bed. Happy birthday!
          Day276
Eating some cereal, we departed at 06:20, and arrived just before 07:00 for some coffee. Very humid, we picked cherries all day, having a laugh and joking around, playing around with Cooper and Cosmo, and before we knew it, it was time to leave.
Same stopping at Coles, we made Chicken in Alfredo Sauce with mushrooms and couscous, and quickly fell to sleep after a long tiring day.
          Day277
A very cold 8degrees morning, we ate cereal, then headed out to work. Having morning tea at 10:30, with slices of banana bread, we spent the day sorting in the shed, away from the hot 28degrees outside, listening to music and grading the cherries. Time flew by, and at 15:00 all picked cherries were sorted, and spent the remaining hour (and an extra half hour) trimming tomato trees, and aiding them stay straight up. Being covered in dirt, soil, stains of cherries and a strong smell of tomatoes, it was a new challenge and even though we were exhausted, enjoyed the change of role. After Coles, we made Chicken Pasta with Alfredo Sauce, ate some of the fresh delicious cherries and watched Apocalypto with Beth and Charlie, before we all were knocked out in bed.
          Day278
Still waking up for an early morning, we had cereal for bfast, washed the clothes, cleared out some stuff, and watched some TV. Around noon, we made some quick noodles and ready rice as a snack, and chilled till 15:00. Meeting Hilda, family from Leon's side which we never met, generously drove us to her house in Pages Flat, and met up with her husband Jerry and her daughter Cristalle, snacked, drank beer and chatted. After meeting the cows and chickens, we had a good time warm indoors, ate Lasagna for dinner, and around 22:40 driven us back to the hostel.
          Day279

Such a lazy day. Waking up at 09:00, we chilled indoors, spent the afternoon watching TV, visited Coles to prepare lunch for tomorrow, and around 16:00 made a full English Breakfast with bacon, garlic mushrooms, caramelized onions, baked beans, sausages, eggs, tomatoes and garlic bread. Luxury of having a fridge!
          Day280
Egg toast for bfast at 05:45, all four of us departed to Mount Compass. Spending the day picking, chattering and having a laugh, the time flew, then drove to Mclaren Vale to drop off Beth and Charlie. Driving another 45km to West Lakes, we met up with a guy called Paul we messaged over Gumtree for Saturday's ACDC tickets. 18:10 Buying both tickets for $200, we drove to Reynella, bought food from Coles, Pure Blond beer from Liquorland and drove back to the hostel. Eating leftover Lasagna, we sat watching TV, spent some good time playing with Khan and speaking with Perry, then hit to bed.
          Day281
12degrees at 06:30, we spent a very successful day picking cherries, now getting the hang of it more and moving at a fast pace. Taking home a bagful of Supreme cherries this time, we left at 16:00, stopping by the usual stop at Coles, and made Fettucine in Egg. In need of a good rest, Kirsten and Beth spent 30mins in the Sauna chilling, then spent the remaining evening drinking beer and watching TV, once again a late night sleep.
          Day282
All day packing due to the 39degrees weather outside, the day dragged but finally it was 16:00 and time to go. Learning there was a fire 10kms away which broke out since yesterday afternoon, we drove safely back to the hostel, stopping by Coles. Cooking Farfalle with Bacon and Eggs, we sat down and watched some TV, drinking beer and relaxing.
          Day283
A freezing cold morning after yesterdays heat. We spent the morning packing and at 11:30 till 16:00 we picked, the usual 1hour break at 12:30. Fire still out of control, we drove back to the hostel safely, bought food and cooked chicken breast with breadcrumbs, eggs and coucous salad, later started watching Harry Potter movies, started with Philosopher's Stone.
          Day284
Day off. Egg toast for bfast, Perry at reception asked if we would like to work some few hours and get it cut out of our rent. From 10:00 - 12:00, Kirsten vacuumed the rooms and washed the bathroom, whilst Leon cleaned, washed and checked the hostel vans if they are both working well. Quickly making a Cherry Cheesecake with the free freshly picked cherries, at 14:00 we quickly visited Commonwealth to open different bank accounts to obtain Visa Cards, then stopped by Coles. Making a Korean meal worth 50c, we cooked rice with Minced Meat and vegetables in Bimbim Sauce. After Kirsten and Beth relaxed in the Sauna for 30mins, we sat down in the common area to watch the second film of Harry Potter.
          Day285
80days left! Washing the clothes and making cold Farfalle salad with tuna and beans, at 14:03 we set off to Adelaide CBD. Driving 45km, we arrived next to the Adelaide Oval, but as we could not find any free parking, we parked the car next to Bonython Park in Kintore Street, and started walking 1.8km to the Oval. Seeing so many people wearing ACDC merchandise, we bought our very own for $50 each, took a walk around till we waited to get in.
17:32 Doors open and everyone started finding their positions. Being seated in Row 535 Row K Seats 8 and 9, we first watched Kingswood at 18:00, played for 30minutes, then 19:00 watched The Hives. Seated next to an old couple from Mount Gambier and having a good laugh, we bought hot chips for $5.20, and it was time.
20:01, the band came on stage, and what a show till 22:05! Seeing old people wearing office shirts enjoying the music, and children and non-metalheads everywhere, it was very astonishing for us. Loud music, and seeing thousands of people standing below us, we enjoyed every minute. Finishing off with fireworks, we walked out of the outdoor venue (football ground), and walked back to the car. Arriving 50mins later, we ate some more pasta salad to refuel before we hit to bed and barely believing the fact we watched the famous Akadaka in their homeland!
          Day286
Waking up later around 09:00, we made some cereal and vegemite on toast, chilled at the hostel and decided all four of us to enjoy a day out. Around 12:30, we drove to Encounter Bay, drove past the Bluff Point Lookout overlooking Wright Island and the Reef, and up to Victor Harbour. Stopping at a Grocery so Charlie and Beth could buy some fish bait, we stopped at Subway for them to eat something, and we later stopped at Maccas for a $2 waffle cone. Walking around The Esplanade and seeing many schoolies (Children who have just finished high school and spend a weekend camping), we then drove to Port Elliot and stayed on the Jetty at Horseshoe Bay. Having Charlie's rod snap with the first throw, we spent a good time relaxing in the sun, and after an hour walked to the Bay to enjoy the peace. Doing a Geocache, and also seeing a blue-tongued lizard and a Brown Snake, we then drove to Goolwa. Driving onto the Bridge to Hindmarsh Island, we stopped at the bottom of the bridge and sat down and fished. Having the hook get stuck on a rock by the first throw again, we had to cut the line, however Charlie managed to get free hooks. Tying a piece of rock as a weight, after some few minutes Charlie managed to catch a big Carp, then threw it back in the Sea.
18:10, we started driving back to the hostel, dropping off two schoolies at Port Elliot, and fuelled up for the week.
Making Fusilli in Tomato Sauce and Lumcheon Meat, we watched Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire along with a few people, then headed to sleep by 22:40, feeling happy and remembering about the time we used to live days like this.
          Day287
The usual bfast, we spent a whole day picking cherries today, meeting the farmer's father - an Italian with still a strong Italian accent after all those years. Quite a hot lovely day, we cooked Farfalle in Carbonara, then just chilled around the hostel.
          Day288
Picking and sorting in the afternoon, it was a 30degrees lovely warm weather. Being given free eggs and apricots today, we cooked Spirals in Pesto and Chicken, chilling at the hostel, hand washed some clothes, and played with Khan.
          Day289
Already mid-week! A freezing temperature of 12degrees, we spent the day sorting, then once back at the hostel, we made Fusilli and Chicken in Egg , and Perry asked Kirsten to hoover, wash and make the beds of Room 9. Not having anything to do and to earn extra cash, after an hour and half the place was done, and later sat down to watch Netflix, resting our feet and an early sleep in.
          Day290
6degrees! Morning packing, and afternoon picking, the weather opened up, and drove back to Mclaren Vale at 16:00. Stopping by Coles, we cooked Spaghetti with Bacon, Tuna and eggs, and around 19:00 we walked to the newly opened foodstore - Foodland. Chilling outside Commonwealth Bank for some wifi, we headed back to the hostel, washed some clothes, then after some TV hit to bed.
          Day291
Delicious egg toast for bfast, we only worked from 07:00 til 11:00 as we picked many cherries, and there was nowhere to store till his wife sells them. Helping Beth and Charlie look for a car, we drove to North Adelaide, Klemzig, to take a look at a Ford Falcon. Walking and driving around to find other deals, we stopped at one and saw Subaru Outback and a Ford Futura. Before we knew it, it was already 16:30, so we decided to drive back to the hostel and call it a day, before Beth realised she left her bag in one of the cars whilst we test driven it. Spending 25mins to drive 13kms, we were stuck in traffic, picked up the bag, and spent more than an hour to drive back. Arriving at 17:45, quickly showering, we drove off to Pages Flat to visit Leon's family, Hilda, Jerry, and Cristalle. Eating delicious burger, chips and ice-cream, we spent a good time chatting, meeting Daniel their son, and drinking some beer, before we departed at 23:10, and slammed into bed.
          Day292
Saturday. Deciding to pick a day job to earn extra cash, we ate egg toast for bfast, and at 08:00 departed the hostel to Port Willunga. Meeting Frank, Greek/Italian, Kirsten helped clean the desk and fill 97 olive oil bottles, whilst Leon dug a new hole to move a shrub.
Around 12:30, both of us then helped sorting the olives, seperated by weight, and cleaned the barrels with citric acid. Finishing at 14:00, we were given fresh garlic, home made passata, olive oil, 1kg of sheep liver, and olives. Showing us his interest in sculpturing and renovating old cars, we also saw a huge Nike Statue, the second after the original situated in the Louvre.
Back at the hostel, we rested, then after visiting Coles, we took out the 2003 Finniss Hill Wine, previously provided by Nigel, and made up the table around 21:00 with cheese, salami, bread with olive oil, olives, nuts, carrots and Tzaktzi Dip, and spent the evening relax.
          Day293
A morning relax. Making a full English bfast, we washed the clothes, and watched Harry Potter in the common area. Hiring the van for the afternoon, we went for a drive, and beach hopping. Buying a slushie from Maccas, we drove and stopped at Aldinga Beach (and seeing cars driving on the sand), Port Willunga and Maslin Beach South. Walking along Maslin Beach North, we spent an hour enjoying the 26degrees on the sand, then around 17:15, we drove back to the hostel. Hungry, we cooked Garlic Liver with Spagetti, and spent the remaining hours chilling on the sofa and watching TV.
          Day294
A day of picking cherries in very cold weather, after work tried depositing money (bank open till 16:00), we therefore had to deposit the money through the ATM machine and takes 24hours to get it, therefore our plan for purchasing something online had to wait till tomorrow. We later cooked Fettucine in Liver, and sat down watching TV, eating cherries and apricots.
          Day295
Cold again this morning, with heavy winds and rain, but spent the day packing inside the shed. Finishing 15mins before as we packed all what we picked, we drove back to the hostel and cooked Chicken in Creamy Sauce and mushrooms, Corn on a Cob, egg and chips. Applying for a New Zealand Working Holiday Visa, we filled out the necessary within a few minutes, then chilled on the sofa watching TV, as all we have to do now is wait to know if we will be accepted or not.
          Day296
Funny weather here. Yesterday being 15degrees, today is 30. Spending a day picking and listening to the radio, we finished at 16:00, Leon drove with Beth and Charlie to Morphett Vale to view a car for them and buy from Coles, whilst Kirsten prepared tomorrow's lunch, prepared dinner, hand washed the clothes, and was asked by Perry to vacuum and wash the bathrooms. 2 hours later, we ate Fusilli with Chicken and Bacon in Pesto, later sat down to watch Hangover II.
          Day297
Day off. Kirsten spending two hours vacuuming and cleaning the whole hostel, Leon, Beth and Charlie spent the morning fixing things in the car, and replacing a radiator hose.
Around 12:00, we were driven in the new Ford Falcon Ride to Maslin Beach, stopping by Subway first, buying a footlong Club and energy drinks. Spending a good afternoon swimming, walking on the rocks, fishing, sunbathing and exploring the beach in the 32degrees, at 17:00 we drove back to the hostel, went buying from Foodland and Coles, cooked the ready made Szechuan Dan Dan Noodles with Burgers and nuts, and hand washed some clothes, before hitting to bed early for work with Frank tomorrow.
          Day298
A quick bfast this morning, we headed off to Port Willunga, met Frank at 08:30, and asked us to help his friend Emma out with the garden. Spending from 09:00-12:00, we cleaned the floor from pine nuts, logs and excessive weeds, cleaned the Chooks, straightened the driveway, and tidied up the garden. Being paid, and also being given some eggs, we drove to Frank's, ate some leftover noodles for lunch, and at 12:30 started. Kirsten only working for one hour to clean the olive oil bottles, put the labels and seal all 96 in boxes, Leon spent an extra two hours with helping cleaning the shed, and tidy some other stuff.
15:45 After being given a huge jar of marinated garlic in oil, and olives in vinegar, we stopped by Coles, and cooked Chicken in Mongolian Sauce and nuts, then sat down to watch Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.
          Day299
Sunday. Spending the morning relaxed watching some TV, at noon we went to the beach with Perry (receptionist) and his dog Khan to Port Aldinga. Driving along the beach and finding a good spot, we spent 3hours relaxing, swimming, sunbathing along Khan, and paddle-boarding. A scorching 36degrees, we got driven back in Perry's Freelander, and ran some chores. Making a beautiful Fusilli and Creamy Tomato Sauce with Chicken and Olives, we sat down and watched Tangled and Four Christmasses, and before we knew it, it was already 21:30, and hit to bed for work tomorrow.
          Day300
65days left before we get kicked out of 'Straya. Everyone is asking us what our plans are, but we haven't got any. So far, we will finish our Cherry Picking job, and depending when (might be after New Year's), we can either find day jobs, or just fly out of Australia. All we know, the time flew by and we cannot believe it has been so long already since we left home.

Waking up to bfast at the usual 05:30, we spent a day picking and packing to avoid the heat of the sun, and at 16:00 we finished work. Taking home some flowers, the yummy Sweet Georgia Cherries and apricots, we stopped by Foodland, then at the hostel cooked Beef Sausage in Creamy Tomato. Taking it relaxed at the hostel, we took a break from the TV, and just sat down talking, and headed off to bed by 21:00.

          Day301
Bfast - picking and packing at work - cooked Black Bean Sauce with Sausages - went for a walk to Coles Express for some drinks - sat down watching some TV.
Quite looking forward to start travelling again and not working!

          Day302
Waking up and getting ready to go to work, at 06:10 we received a call from Tony advising us it was pouring over at Mount Compass and will let us know if he needs us for the afternoon. Making a relaxed egg toast for breakfast, and chilling on the sofa, we started watching Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 1/2, at 09:15 till 11:15 Kirsten cleaned the hostel kitchen and vacuumed all around, in return for a reduced weekly rate. Quickly going to Coles, we made Rice Salad as a quick dinner and lunch break for tomorrow, and smashed ourselves against the beds, knackered and looking forward for our last day of cherry picking!

Still not sure what to do, and looking around online to see what to do, options were either going to the Centre along with thousands of other people to watch the fireworks and allegedly wait for hours to buy drinks at a bar, or else head to Serafino's and watch the fireworks from outside, otherwise check in the vicinity of a relaxed NY.
Getting the van and driving around the beaches, we decided to head to Port Willunga. Two British girls (Terry and Vicky) joining in with us, we grabbed some beer, crisps, and at 22:30 headed off to the beach. Setting down the towels and drinking relaxed amongst many others doing the same thing, before we knew it, everyone was shouting a Countdown and

Enjoying a nice walk around the city, stopping by Maccas on Hindley Street for a soft serve first, we then walked to the Food Market (Central Market), and passed by amazing food stalls. Walking into Kim Wang S'Market, we bought the randomest asian drink, to which we had no clue what it was. Quite a particular drink of Sagiko Soursop can ($1.35), we then shopped around the area, and headed to Rundle Mall.
14:50 Caught a train back to McLaren Vale. Stopping the last stop at Seaford, we caught a 20minute bus ($5.20 per person!) towards the Hostel. Cooking leftover pasta (Fusilli, Fettucine, Penne and Zigatore) with Taco Sauce and Rump Steak and Minced Meat, we continued packing and sorting out our documents and headed to bed early.
          Day360
-2days (Friday)
Spending the morning at the Post Office to send over some stuff (3.320 kg for $59.15), we made a late brunch - omelette and any leftovers, and spent some time playing Monopoly Empire. Kirsten loosing twice, we then continued to clear out the lockers, had a chat with Korean Kim and Japanese Saori which wanted to organise a Farewell Party for us, then at 17:00 walked with Joel the receptionist to McLaren Vale Hotel for a pint and food. Playing the raffle but winning nothing ($5 for 15numbers), we ate some free squid nuggets, sausage rolls and chicken pies for appetisers, then ordered a Choock Snitzy (Aussy word for Chicken Schnitzel), and Beer Battered Garfish for $31. A few pints later at 19:50, we headed back to the hostel, to find a surprise dinner of delicious freshly made Sushi by a Japanese person herself (Salmon, Tuna, Egg-Fried, Vegetables), and a lovely Korean tradition Seafood Pancake (Haemul Pazeun) made by a Korean himself. Having a chat and some drinks, more people joined, and had a great time whilst saying our goodbyes drinking beer, Champagne and photo snapping
          Day361
-1day (Saturday)
Waking up at 09:00, we made some bfast and prepared lunch for tomorrow's travelling. Chilling out and snacking on Pizza, we sorted any unnecessary stuff and gave it away, and prepared to go to work.
Leaving at 15:40, we drove to Port Willunga to assist Frank with his birthday party. What a great time! Assisting in kneading the Pizza Dough, and setting up the Bar, we also helped with getting out food, making the Pizza Toppings, washed dirty glasses and cleared the tables. Helping ourselves to a plate of Greek Food - Lamb, Pork, dips, couscous, watermelon salads, and drinking beer and wine, our shift finished at 22:00 ($100 each for 6hours), and stayed there to enjoy ourselves on our last night in Australia.
Arriving at the hostel at 23:30, we scanned some documents, and after being given a friendship bracelet by Saori, we said our goodbyes and walked off around town for the last time, heading back to the hostel at 02:30.
